Senior Legal Operations Specialist (Hybrid - Newark, NJ, NYC, FL)
About the role
Broadridge is seeking a Senior Legal Operations Specialist to enhance the Legal function through improved workflows, strengthened reporting, and embedded AI and automation.
Responsibilities
Assess legal processes, tools, and workflows to identify inefficiencies, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
Recommend and implement scalable solutions that improve service delivery, consistency, visibility, and operational maturity.
Drive legal operations initiatives from strategy through execution, including process design, implementation, change management, training, and adoption.
Improve and standardize workflows through automation, templates, playbooks, and process redesign.
Help build an AI- and technology-forward legal operations practice by embedding AI and automation into Legal workflows.
Lead implementation of legal technology and AI-enabled solutions from requirements gathering through rollout and optimization.
Evaluate practical uses for AI across legal intake, contract review, summarization, workflow routing, reporting, and knowledge management.
Administer and optimize the legal technology stack, including e-billing, matter management, workflow, intake, repository, e-signature, and AI-enabled tools.
Partner with IT, vendors, and business stakeholders to support system enhancements, adoption, and process optimization.
Serve as a key support resource for legal and compliance workflow platforms, including workflow administration, templates, dashboards, reporting, and user support.
Extract, analyze, and interpret data from legal technology platforms to generate business intelligence and operational insights.
Build and maintain dashboards, KPI reporting, and metrics across contracts, matters, turnaround times, spend, intake, and process performance.
Present metrics, trends, and recommendations to Legal leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
Support legal budgeting, spend tracking, financial reporting, and forecasting.
Review and audit outside counsel and vendor invoices for accuracy and compliance with billing guidelines.
Monitor e-billing systems for billing guideline violations, invoice discrepancies, and compliance exceptions, and coordinate follow-up.
Support outside counsel and vendor management, including onboarding, records, engagement documentation, and operational coordination.
Support policy, risk, and compliance administration by coordinating policy workflows, tracking reviews and approvals, maintaining logs and supporting documentation, and monitoring remediation items.
Provide operational support for compliance activities and Broadridge’s compliance program/GRC platforms, policy management tools, or compliance tracking systems.
Qualifications
5–8+ years of experience in legal operations, legal technology, compliance operations, contract operations, legal project management, or a related function.
Experience implementing or administering legal technology platforms such as matter management, e-billing, intake, workflow, repository, or e-signature tools.
Strong ability to analyze system data and translate it into reporting, business intelligence, and operational recommendations.
Experience building dashboards, KPIs, metrics, or reporting for legal, compliance, or business stakeholders.
Exposure to privacy compliance, privacy operations, or privacy program support activities.
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with AI adoption, workflow automation, or legal technology transformation initiatives.
Experience with legal analytics, dashboarding, or business intelligence tools.
Experience with ServiceNow, AuditBoard, SharePoint, DocuSign, iManage, NetDocuments, or similar platforms.
Compensation
The salary range for this position is between $120,000 - $130,000. Bonus Eligibility: Bonus Eligible
