Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the leasing, merchandising, and value creation strategy for a region of a national portfolio of assets, with accountability for regional leasing performance.
  • Direct and manage third-party leasing relationships across multiple states and markets.
  • Negotiate and finalize letters of intent, new leases, renewals, and other amendments, including higher-value and more complex transactions.
  • Oversee the drafting of renewal documents and amendments, and review/approve work product from leasing associates.
  • Lead portfolio reviews with tenants and present findings and recommendations to Asset Management leadership.
  • Own the annual budgeting process for vacancies and renewals in partnership with the Asset Management Team.
  • Partner with Asset Management and Acquisition Teams to shape our understanding of sub-market trends, market rents, opportunities, risks, and other vital assessments for properties under contract and existing assets.
  • Set and drive annual and quarterly leasing goals in partnership with the Asset Management Team, and report progress to senior leadership.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to leasing associates, helping develop team capabilities and best practices.
  • Represent LMI in broker and tenant relationships at a senior level, strengthening the firm's market presence and deal flow.

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • 2-8 years of retail leasing experience, in volume, preferably with experience within an owner/operator.
  • Demonstrated track record of leading leasing strategy and managing complex, high-value transactions.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize assignments while delivering consistent quality work.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and mentor junior team members.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships, including with senior brokers and tenants.
  • Strong analytical, leadership, and communication skills.
