Senior Learning Consultant, Charleston, SC
About the role
We are seeking a Senior Learning Consultant to work with large institutions from various markets including K12, Higher Ed, Business & Government, etc. as part of our Learning Services Dedicated Consulting team. The ideal candidate will have at least five years of Instructure product experience, including Mastery Connect, and experience leading change, building strong relationships, and rolling out a technology platform to a large organization.
Responsibilities
- Provide guidance through the use of best practices in assessment and Mastery Connect.
- Support the customer’s vision for using Mastery Connect and other Instructure tools and products.
- Share strategies for change leadership, understand the current state and planned future state, and work to support the organization’s vision.
- Work with key stakeholders to understand and support the customer’s communication, training, and engagement plans and timeline, and seek to mitigate risks.
- Develop an assessment strategy by determining instructional approaches, student experience, program development, faculty interactions, and assessment needs.
- Curate and create plans, resources, and materials to address customer needs.
- Curate and create adoption resources and professional development materials to address customer needs, including best practices for formative assessment, curriculum maps, benchmarks, and updates on new and enhanced features.
- Aid with the execution of key plans, including deployment of Instructure product-related assessment strategy and promotion of resources to enhance engagement.
- Provide best-practice guidance on Mastery Connect related projects.
- Sustain growth by regularly reviewing pertinent data and setting next phase goals.
- Support staff with recommendations of Instructure product best practices that connect to the institution’s instructional framework, and provide workshops for admins, PD and curriculum leaders, instructional coaches, and other instructional staff.
- Aid with product use; provide feedback and coach staff through making changes.
- Aid with Mastery Connect assessment development, deployment, and facilitation for formative assessment, curriculum maps, and benchmarks; provide feedback on assessments and coach staff through making changes.
- Build the capacity of institution experts with targeted consulting sessions and ongoing coaching, and provide mentorship and support of the customer team as needed and appropriate.
- Provide expertise in Mastery Connect administration, including incorporation of the Canvas LMS integration.
- Attend meetings for planning and progress updates.
Requirements
- At least five years of Instructure product experience, including best practices in Mastery Connect and making engaging Canvas courses that are responsive, accessible and inclusive of teaching and learning needs.
- At least one year of experience with other Instructure tools.
- At least one year in an educational leadership position overseeing a team who supports the use of a learning management system for pedagogical purposes.
- Experience leading change, building strong relationships, and rolling out a technology platform to a large organization.
- At least one year of experience building effective professional development for educators.
- At least three years of teaching experience, including experience with a digital learning environment.
- Current knowledge of technology adoption strategies, professional development protocols, and educational technology best practices.
- Impeccable executive leadership presence and top notch verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- Creative thinking, strong problem solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to elicit cooperation from a wide variety of sources, including upper management, clients, and other departments.
- Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and be comfortable with ambiguity while maintaining a professional presence.
- Experience with delivering quality presentations in a professional environment.
- Ability to react to project adjustments and alterations promptly and efficiently.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Technology, or equivalent.
- Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership or Instructional Technology a plus.

Pay
$75K - $100K
Schedule
5 days per week ONSITE with a specific client in the Charleston area.
