Senior Lead, Data Center Management
About the role
As the Real Estate Data Center Site Lead, you will provide critical leadership and be responsible for the day-to-day operations, management, and optimization of assigned sites. You will ensure facilities are safe, compliant, efficient, and aligned with organizational and customer objectives, while delivering a high-quality employee and operational experience.
Responsibilities
- Facility & Operations Leadership
- Own and manage site operations, facility services, and asset governance
- Maintain audit-ready documentation for EHS, security, and operational procedures
- Own site-level data integrity and ensure accuracy of facility and operational records
- Maintain all site permits, certifications, and compliance documentation
- Take full ownership of the appearance and condition of the site, inside and outside
- Financial & Vendor Management
- Manage site operating costs and support Opex/Capex planning and annual business planning processes
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining service quality
- Manage third-party service provider performance at the site level
- Participate in or lead contract negotiations to optimize cost and service levels
- Stakeholder & Customer Engagement
- Act as the primary customer relationship owner for the site
- Build and maintain strong credibility with business leaders, customers, and partners
- Partner with IT, Communications, Legal, EHS, HR, Security, and other stakeholders
- Represent RDC and Kyndryl with service partners, customers, and the external community
- Project & Change Management
- Own and execute site-level initiatives, projects, and deployments
- Act as site-level project owner and project manager as required
- Drive adherence to RDC project management standards, governance, and best practices
- Implement global standards, technologies, and initiatives as directed by leadership
- Provide status updates and reporting on site projects, milestones, risks, and outcomes
- Incident, Crisis & Business Continuity
- Lead site-level incident and crisis response activities
- Serve as the first escalation point for safety, facility, or service disruptions
- Maintain emergency preparedness and response plans aligned with business continuity requirements
- Coordinate with regional and global teams during incidents and crises
- Site Experience & Sustainability
- Ensure facilities support a productive, safe, and engaging work environment
- Lead employee experience, sustainability, and workplace improvement initiatives
- Address and resolve employee facility-related feedback in a timely manner
- Promote a culture of ownership – treating the site as if it were your own
Key Deliverables
- Emergency and preparedness response plans
- Monthly site and facility status reports (incidents, escalations, resolutions)
- Site project status reports as required
- Audit-ready documentation across EHS, security, and facilities
- Accurate and complete site-level data and records
Performance Metrics
- 100% site regulatory, safety, and security compliance
- 100% accuracy of site-level operational and facilities data
- Successful execution of site initiatives and projects
- Cost control and delivery of identified savings opportunities
- Customer and stakeholder satisfaction at the site level
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Facilities Management, Engineering, Operations, or related field
- 5+ years of proven experience leading site operations, facilities management, or data center environments
- Strong vendor, financial, and contract management experience
- Demonstrated incident and crisis management capability
- Experience working with cross-functional stakeholders and senior leadership

Compensation
The compensation range for this position in the US is $100,080 to $190,080 based on a full-time schedule. Your actual compensation may vary depending on your geography, job-related skills, and experience.
