About the role
Histology is a patient-centered department with great co-workers. There are flexible hours and the ability to grow in the department.
Responsibilities
- Perform phlebotomy, collecting, preparing, and processing biological specimens.
- Assist in performing laboratory activities and other assigned tasks.
- Aid in preparing laboratory specimens and supplies.
- Enter laboratory orders and results as needed.
- Ensure the accuracy and quality of laboratory data in a safe and professional work environment.
- Train and onboard new employees.
Requirements
- High school diploma or General Educational Development Diploma (GED) required.
- One year of laboratory-related experience preferred.
- National phlebotomy certification through American Medical Technologists (AMT) or American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) is required or registry eligible to take exam within 12 months of hire.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may be required.
Pay
Salary range: $17.50 - $26.50 per hour.
Schedule
- Full-time, day shifts.
- 8-hour shifts.
- Weekly hours: 40.00.
