About the role
Represents the laboratory to the public, physicians, patients and offices while assisting laboratory technical staff, receiving/accessioning and/or processing specimens according to laboratory procedures. Follows established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, safety; environmental and infectious control standards so that the laboratory remains in compliance with accreditation and licensing agencies.
Responsibilities

- Assist laboratory technical staff
- Receive, accession, and/or process specimens according to laboratory procedures
- Follow established departmental policies and procedures, objectives, safety, environmental and infectious control standards
- Maintain laboratory compliance with accreditation and licensing agencies
Required Qualifications
- H.S. Diploma or GED
- Coursework/Training - Successful completion of a phlebotomy program through a post-secondary school, college or military program
- Upon Hire: Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist Certification or Washington Medical Assistant Certification
Preferred Qualifications
- Prior phlebotomy experience

Pay
Base pay range: $30.64 - $44.22 per hour. Placement on the wage range is determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. Additional compensation may be available, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
