Senior KYC Analyst/ Checker (US)
About the role
The Senior KYC Analyst position at TD Financial Services involves developing and maintaining the KYC programs, including frameworks, methodologies, procedures, awareness and monitoring, management reporting, and escalations of issues. This role is primarily responsible for performing as a Quality Control Analyst or Checker within the process, reviewing the work product.
Responsibilities
- Performs more advanced, complicated, or high visibility job functions aligned with policies, standards, procedures, and job aids.
- Ensures that work products are fit for purpose and audit/regulator ready.
- Suggests process improvements to drive better results from efficiency, accuracy, or quality of work product.
- Leads initiatives to help bring these improvements to fruition.
- Works independently as the senior analyst/subject matter expert and may coach and educate others.
- Oversees and/or independently performs tasks from end-to-end.
- Applies expert knowledge of business operations, products, services, methods, and operating standards to drive unit or team performance.
- Executes on more complex and/or non-standard requests.
- Researches and investigates a range of operational/reporting/process issues.
- Recommends and implements solutions within own area of responsibility.
- May need to coordinate/integrate work with other areas as needed.
- Provides advanced analysis and/or specialized reporting to support business partners, functional areas or centers of expertise.
Requirements
Undergraduate Degree or equivalent professional work experience, 4+ years direct experience in financial services or similar industries including fraud, know your customer, anti-money laundering, sanctions screening, or similar roles for new joiners. Or 8+ years' experience in an unrelated role involving information fluency, investigation, research, or financial services broadly but not specifically KYC or AML. Or for an internal candidate, proven track record of excellence through metrics or manager discretion.
Qualifications
