Senior Java Spring Boot Developer

About the Role

The Senior Technical Lead will lead and architect technical solutions using Java/J2EE, RESTful APIs, and Spring Boot to meet business requirements. The role involves providing technical guidance and leadership to the development team, ensuring high-quality code delivery, and optimizing system performance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and drive the technical architecture, design, and development of Java/J2EE applications, RESTful APIs, and Spring Boot projects.
• Provide technical expertise in Java/J2EE, RESTful services, and Spring Boot to meet project objectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define technical solutions and ensure alignment with business goals.
• Conduct code reviews, performance tuning, and troubleshoot technical issues to maintain system stability.
• Mentor and coach junior team members to enhance their technical skills and knowledge.
• Design and develop scalable microservices and distributed systems.
• Develop and maintain REST APIs with proper versioning and security.
• Work with API security technologies such as OAuth 2.0, JWT, OpenID Connect, and SSL/TLS.
• Develop React JS / React UI applications where required.
• Work with DB2, SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Hibernate, and JPA.
• Perform integration and API testing using Postman and SOAP UI.
• Work with caching technologies such as Redis, EhCache, and Hazelcast.
• Support CI/CD and DevOps practices using Jenkins, GitHub, GitLab, Maven, and Gradle.
• Work with Docker, OpenShift, and Kubernetes for containerization and platform engineering.
• Support cloud technologies including AWS, Azure, and EKS.
• Work with logging and monitoring tools such as Splunk and AppDynamics.
• Participate in Agile/Scrum methodology and development activities.
• Support Generative AI initiatives and AI integration where applicable.
• Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies related to Java/J2EE, REST, Spring Boot, microservices, and cloud platforms.

Requirements

• 8–12 years of experience with Java 8/11/17 (Core Java, Collections, Multithreading, Streams).
• 8–12 years of experience with Spring Boot & Spring Framework (Spring MVC, Spring Security).
• 6–8 years of experience with Microservices Architecture & Distributed Systems.
• 6–8 years of experience with REST API Development & API Versioning.
• 2 years of experience with API Security (OAuth 2.0, JWT, OpenID Connect, SSL/TLS).
• 3 years of experience with React JS / React UI (mandatory for one position).
• 5–7 years of experience with Database technologies (DB2, SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, Hibernate, JPA).
• Experience with Integration Testing & API Testing (Postman, SOAP UI).
