Responsibilities
- Follow PMO methodology and processes to lead and manage projects end-to-end.
- Create and manage project scope, resources, and budget.
- Analyze and understand business requirements, vendor statements of work, and other requirement documents to clearly outline project artifacts.
- Manage multiple projects while maintaining a high level of quality in deliverables, implementation, and customer experience.
- Manage complex, enterprise-level projects with minimal oversight.
- Bring the right leadership, resources, vendors, and stakeholders together to organize and facilitate project kick-offs.
- Provide oversight to Project Coordinators, PM I, and PM II.
- Ensure PPMO processes are followed, and artifacts are developed and saved in the appropriate documentation repository.
- Ensure all project documentation is complete and ready for external audit according to PPMO processes and procedures.
- Create the Charter, Project Plan, Budget Tracker, RACI, Weekly Status Reports, Project Steering Committee presentation materials, GLRA, and Change Management documentation.
- Establish critical path milestones and report status to executive leadership regularly.
- Develop a concrete project plan before moving to implementation. Lead and track project progress according to this plan.
- Identify dependencies and risks in advance, work with stakeholders to create mitigation plans, and actively monitor and report progress.
- Adhere to PPMO departmental policies, procedures, and documentation requirements.
- Facilitate planning and design sessions to clearly define in-scope, out-of-scope elements, and overall project design.
- Collaborate with IS Training and Vendors to plan, prepare, and maintain documentation related to programming, systems operations, and user guidance.
- Translate business specifications into user documentation.
- Plan, write, and oversee user support documentation efforts, including online help resources.
- Ensure users are properly trained on the operation and functionality of computer applications and associated business processes.
- Validate user competency in the use of information systems prior to go-live or major changes.
Qualifications
Under the direction of the Manager, Director, or other senior personnel, the Project Manager determines user demands, establishes work priorities, and plans, directs, and monitors project work. Supports Information Systems-related business planning requirements, including but not limited to budgeting, scheduling, and workload planning. Maintains project issues and reports to Information Systems management and local steering teams on the progress of critical path items. Reports project status and accomplishments.
