About the role

This role is responsible for delivering medically credentialed instruction, operational leadership, and site-level oversight in a Medical Simulation Training Center (MSTC) environment. This position requires maintaining current medical certifications, operating Training Aids, Devices, Simulators, and Simulations (TADSS), overseeing high-fidelity, scenario-based medical training in classroom and field environments, and ensuring site operations are conducted in accordance with contractual performance standards.

Responsibilities

Train All Service Members (ASM/Tier I), Combat Lifesaver (CLS/Tier II), Combat Medic (CM/Tier III), and Combat Paramedic (CP/Tier IV) in TC3 training.
Instruct 68W Combat Medic sustainment training and CLS initial/sustainment training to non-medical personnel.
Conduct training in classroom, laboratory, and field training/evaluation environments.
Maintain proper instructor-to-student ratios per MEDCoE directives.
Assess students' critical thinking and psychomotor skills under high-fidelity simulated conditions.
Support a projected minimum throughput of at least 2,500 68W students annually across all MSTC sites.
Provide senior-level instructional oversight to ensure training is delivered consistently, safely, and in accordance with approved curriculum, medical proponent standards, and contractual requirements.
Mentor, coach, and provide technical guidance to assigned Instructor/Operators and training support personnel.
Observe instructor performance and provide feedback to improve instructional delivery, scenario execution, student evaluation, and compliance with training standards.
Serve as the site-level lead responsible for day-to-day coordination of training operations, instructor support, and execution of assigned MSTC requirements.
Act as the primary site-level point of contact for Government representatives, military leaders, contractor leadership, senior executive leaders, and internal program management personnel.
Communicate professionally and effectively with senior military leaders, civilian leaders, medical personnel, contractor staff, and executive leadership regarding training requirements, site status, staffing, equipment, and performance matters.
Cover instructor schedules, training support requirements, classroom resources, simulation resources, equipment availability, and administrative deliverables to support successful training execution.
Mentor assigned personnel and assist with onboarding, instructor development, peer observations, training standardization, and performance improvement activities.
Demonstrate the ability to illustrate prior supervisory or site-level leadership experience in a medical, military, emergency services, instructional, or operational environment.
Resolve routine administrative, instructional, scheduling, and minor performance issues at the site level and elevate significant issues to the Program Manager as required.
Utilize approved scenario-based training per course, apply moulage techniques, environmental control, and theatrical special effects to simulate realistic injuries and environments, assess students using grading sheets for individual scenarios, ensure all training content is approved by the appropriate medical proponent, and document and report accidents/incidents.
Maintain all certifications current throughout the contract, complete annual TC 8-800 recertification (all tables), participate in enterprise quality initiatives including instructor development programs and cross-site standardization, and resolve administrative, instructional, scheduling, and minor performance issues.

Requirements

Must meet one of the following military/military medical backgrounds:

A former 68W or 18D Noncommissioned Officer (NCO)
A former Navy Enlisted Classification (NEC) 8404 or Navy Independent Duty Corpsman, E-6 or above
A former Air Force 4NOX1 or Aerospace Medical Service (4NOX1), E-6 or above
A currently licensed Registered Nurse (RN), Physician Assistant (PA), or Physician (MD/DO)
A currently licensed Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with a minimum of ten (10) years of experience within the medical scope of practice and demonstrated supervisory, leadership, mentoring, or site-level coordination experience
A currently licensed Paramedic with a minimum of three (3) years of experience within the medical scope of practice and proof of supervisory, leadership, mentoring, or site-level coordination experience

Qualifications

Current Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) or Nationally Registered Paramedic, as applicable to position assignment
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification, if required by assigned instructional duties or medical scope of practice
Minimum of five (5) years of experience for EMT candidates, and two (2) years of experience for Paramedic candidates, within the medical scope of practice
Proof of supervisory, leadership, mentoring, or site-level coordination experience

Skills

Experience reviewing documents, maintaining electronic files, and managing spreadsheets, tracking logs, suspense actions, or similar records
Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and standard office equipment
Strong organizational, data-entry, written communication, grammar, spelling, punctuation, and customer-service skills
Ability to manage multiple records and deadlines and communicate professionally with military, civilian, medical, recruiting, contractor, senior military, and senior executive personnel
Ability to learn Government information systems and Army applicant-processing procedures
Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English
Experience mentoring, coaching, supervising, or leading training or instructional staff
Ability to illustrate prior supervisory experience in a medical, military, emergency services, instructional, or operational environment
Proficiency in conflict resolution, team management, staff coordination, and professional communication
Strong oral and written communication skills, including the ability to brief senior military leaders, Government representatives, program leadership, and senior executive leaders
Ability to resolve administrative, instructional, scheduling, and minor performance issues
Ability to ensure timely completion of reports, rosters, deliverables, training documentation, and site-level administrative requirements
Experience overseeing adherence to training standards, security protocols, classroom requirements, safety procedures, and contractual performance standards
Ability to mentor Instructor/Operators and support instructor development, peer observations, quality control activities, and cross-site standardization
Supervisory responsibility for site-level leadership, mentoring, coordination, and operational oversight of assigned Instructor/Operators and training support personnel
