Responsibilities
- Partner with business stakeholders and technical teams to gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements for software systems.
- Translate complex manufacturing, MES, and customer integration workflows into clear user stories, process flows, use cases, and specifications.
- As the primary liaison between business users and software development teams throughout the full software development lifecycle.
- Lead requirements workshops, design reviews, backlog grooming, and sprint planning sessions.
- Collaborate closely with software engineers, architects, and QA to ensure requirements are clearly understood, testable, and traceable.
- Support solution design by validating business rules, data models, integrations, and system behaviors.
- Participate in testing activities by supporting test case development, user acceptance testing (UAT), and validation of delivered functionality.
- Identify and drive process improvement opportunities and recommend technology-driven solutions to improve efficiency, quality, and traceability.
- Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date documentation for requirements, process flows, data definitions, and system behaviors.
- Ensure solutions conform to security, compliance, and data governance standards.
- Mentor junior business analysts and contribute to standards and best practices for requirements management.
Qualifications
- Strong understanding of business analysis practices, requirements engineering, and the software development lifecycle (Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, hybrid).
- Proven ability to decompose complex systems and workflows into clear, actionable requirements.
- Experience working with manufacturing systems such as MES, ERP, BPM, or quality systems.
- Solid understanding of data concepts, including data modeling, data flows, and integration patterns.
- Ability to work effectively with technical teams, including software engineers and system architects.
- Strong facilitation, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills.
- Proficiency with requirements and collaboration tools (e.g., GitLab, Confluence, Azure DevOps, or similar).
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Able to manage multiple initiatives and priorities in a fast-paced, production-oriented environment.
- Experience 6-8 years of experience in a Business Analyst or Senior Business Analyst role.
- Experience supporting custom software development initiatives.
- Experience working in a manufacturing, semiconductor, or high-tech industrial environment strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated experience translating business needs into technical requirements and user stories.
- Experience supporting system integrations and data-driven applications.
