Senior Information Analyst

About the role

The role of Senior Information Analyst at 3M provides an opportunity to transition from other private, public, government, or military experience to a 3M career. You will collaborate with innovative 3Mers around the world, driving system improvement initiatives, evaluating technical solutions, and supporting regulatory compliance across various departments.

Responsibilities

• Drive system improvement initiatives, including upgrades, configuration changes, maintenance activities, and process optimization.
• Evaluate existing and potential technical solutions in collaboration with others.
• Lead projects to enhance and maintain systems that support regulatory compliance across EHS, Product Stewardship, and R&D spaces.
• Collaborate with compliance experts, business stakeholders, IT teams, and software vendors to develop, implement, and improve system solutions that meet evolving regulatory and operational needs.
• Translate business and regulatory requirements into system enhancements, functional specifications, and implementation plans.
• Mentor and lead internal resources on projects and new technologies.
• Manage stakeholder relationships and project communications to ensure alignment, visibility, and user readiness for system changes.
• Gather, prioritize, and manage user requests related to system enhancements, functionality improvements, and compliance-driven changes.
• Analyze system issues, identify root causes, and coordinate corrective actions to maintain system reliability, performance, and usability.
• Partner with IT teams to support system integrations, data flows, testing, release activities, and long-term solution planning.
• Support software enhancement and upgrade efforts in partnership with external vendors and internal technical teams.
• Stay informed on industry best practices and trends in compliance systems, application support, and systems management to drive continuous improvement.
• Contribute to a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution.
• Three (3) years of cloud administration and development experience in a private, public, government, or military environment.
• Five (5) years of full tech stack development experience.

Qualifications

• Experience and education with AI development, best practices, and security.
• Experience working with software vendors and IT teams to implement and support application changes.
• Cloud-based Certifications.
• Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into system solutions.
• Strong understanding of system functionality, issue resolution, and process improvement.
• Degree in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills.

Pay & Benefits

The expected compensation range for this position is $124,127 - $151,710, which includes base pay plus variable incentive pay, if eligible. Specific compensation offered may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience. Work Location & Travel

This role follows an on-site working model, requiring the employee to work at least four days a week at the 3M Center in Maplewood, MN. Travel may include up to 10% domestic.
