About the role
The Immigration Practice Team seeks to hire a senior attorney (Chicago) with eight or more years of experience to support its national practice. The role involves handling the complexities of visa and permanent residency applications on behalf of U.S. companies and their foreign national workforce, including:
- Employment-based green cards
- Employment-based non-immigrant visas (H-1Bs, L-1s, O-1s, E-1, E-2, E-3)
- Matters arising under the U.S. Mexico-Canada America (USMCA) Free Trade Agreement (TNs)
- Other laws governing ports of entry to the United States
Responsibilities
- Provide advisory and other services, including managing client deliverables
- Prepare foreign nationals for visa and consulate interviews
- Respond to audits and provide I-9 guidance
- Handle federal administrative court matters and resolve border problems
- Prepare relevant filings
- Manage client relationships and mentor/supervise junior lawyers and specialized paralegals
Requirements
- Eight or more years of experience in U.S. immigration law
- Superior written, oral, and analytic abilities
- Deep knowledge of U.S. immigration laws, regulations, and policies
- Portable business and experience managing client relationships (preferred)

Pay
Annual salary range for this position is $200,000–$350,000. Actual pay may be adjusted based on location, experience, volume and nature of portable business, or other job-related factors permitted by law.
