Senior II Site Reliability Engineer

About the role

Join our SRE team and apply statistical data analysis and an understanding of networking protocols to diagnose and solve some of the Internet's most difficult content delivery challenges. Partner with the best to influence company decision-making at the highest levels to identify areas for new technology investments.

Responsibilities

• Leading SRE teams by providing technical mentorship, feedback and guidelines, and by organizing project-specific work.
• Driving partnership with Engineering, Operations and Product teams to help guide adoption of new features and processes.
• Applying analytical skills and statistical insights to identify performance bottlenecks and reliability challenges, and propose solutions.
• Defining, implementing, mining data feeds drawn from 3rd party and internal sources to produce insights that influence company decision-making.
• Influencing company decision-making at the highest levels to identify areas for new technology investments.
• Building software tools and systems to automate analytical tasks and workflows to increase efficiency and reliability.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience and a Bachelor's diploma in Computer Science or its equivalent.
• An analytical background with experience in statistical data analysis.
• A proven ability to provide insightful and well-received technical feedback.
• Adequate experience with coding in at least one following languages (python, perl, SQL, Java, C, R).
• Adequate experience with Internet protocols (DNS/HTTP/TLS/TCP).

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and organizational skills and be able to articulate technical information in an easy-to-understand manner.

Skills

• Statistical data analysis.
• Understanding of networking protocols.
• Coding in at least one following languages (python, perl, SQL, Java, C, R).
• Experience with Internet protocols (DNS/HTTP/TLS/TCP).

Pay

For US based candidates only - the base salary for this position ranges from $146,400 - $263,600/year; a candidate’s salary is determined by various factors including, but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location. Compensation for candidates outside the US will vary. The compensation package may also include incentive compensation opportunities in the form of annual bonus or incentives, equity awards and an Employee Stock Purchase Plan (ESPP).
