Senior HVAC Technician (Per Diem) - Operation Of Plant Maintenance
Job Summary
Installing, maintaining and repairing ventilation and air conditioning systems and equipment.
Identifying maintenance risks on equipment.
Diagnosing electrical and mechanical faults for HVAC systems.
Cleaning, adjusting and repairing systems, and performing warranty services.
Work with all areas of the HVAC trade and refrigeration operating systems currently used in the industry.
Install, repair and maintain Roof Top Unit Operating Systems, Building Management Systems, refrigeration equipment, chiller units, air handlers & cooling towers.
Perform maintenance and repairs on Medical Gas lines.
Install, repair and maintain piping (copper, Pex, screw pipe, PVC, CPVC, gas), duct work, ductless split systems, boilers (water & steam), water source heat pump systems.
Problem solve HVAC system issues using hand tools, testing equipment and measuring devices to evaluate and repair systems.
Able to reclaim and dispose of refrigerants in an environmentally sound manner.
Qualifications
- 3 years general commercial HVAC required
- Valid CT Heating & Cooling, Medical Gas (MG-1 or MG-2) and Freon Recovery licensure required
- Able to operate electronic devices
- Able to communicate and understand directions
- Able to braze and solder piping
- Able to work in a crouching or standing position for a long period of time
- Able to work on ladders and scaffolding for long periods of time
- Able to effectively operate in high locations
