About the role

Tonix Pharmaceuticals is a fully integrated, commercial-stage biotechnology company focusing on central nervous system and immunology treatments for areas of high unmet medical need. Key products include TONMYA (cyclobenzaprine HCl sublingual tablets 2.8 mg) for fibromyalgia and Zembrace Symtouch (sumatriptan injection 3 mg) and Tosymra (sumatriptan nasal spray 10 mg) for acute migraines. Tonix is also developing TNX-4800 for Lyme disease prevention and TNX-1500 for kidney transplant rejection, among others.

Responsibilities

  • Supports employees and managers with HR policies, procedures, benefits, and employment-related questions.
  • Provides guidance on routine employee relations matters and escalates complex issues as necessary.
  • Serves as a key HR contact for complex workplace investigations.
  • Coordinates and assists with workforce planning, talent planning, and calibrations.
  • Administers onboarding and offboarding processes, maintains accurate employee records, and coordinates annual performance review processes.
  • Serves as a back-up for payroll processing and ensures HRIS data integrity.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and company policies.
  • Generates HR metrics and reports for leadership and participates in HR projects, training initiatives, professional development initiatives, and process improvements.
  • Maintains and updates HR policies to align with company objectives.

Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices.
  • Experience handling employee relations matters with professionalism and confidentiality.
  • Working knowledge of FMLA, ADA, payroll, benefits administration, and HRIS systems.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple projects in a fast-paced environment.
  • Dedicated team player who can handle high demands.
  • Proficient with or the ability to quickly learn payroll management, human resource information system (HRIS), and similar computer systems.
  • Highly organized, results-driven, and a strong problem solver.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
  • SHRM-CP or PHR certification or advanced degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience, including supporting employee relations, workforce planning, talent planning, performance management, benefits, HR compliance, and HRIS administration.
  • Biotechnology, pharmaceutical, healthcare, or other regulated industry experience preferred.
