Day-to-Day Responsibilities

  • Oversee the processing of financial invoices and records for assigned properties, including income, expenses, and general ledger entries.
  • Strong background with property management software using RealPage Financial Suite. Ability to optimize modules, General Ledger, Accounts Payable and Financial Reporting.
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports for property portfolios, including journal entries, reconciliations, variance analysis, and final statement preparation.
  • Conduct account reconciliations, including bank accounts, escrow accounts, and tenant ledgers.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis for each property.
  • Review and process invoices, vendor payments, and property-related expenses.
  • Support audits by preparing documentation and responding to inquiries.
  • Collaborate and partnership with the Housing leadership, regional team and property managers by translating financial data into actionable operational insights.
  • Collaborate with Finance and Housing leadership to support budgeting, forecasting and process improvement.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance plus three to five years of general ledger, accounts payable, reconciliations and property software RealPage.
  • Experience in affordable housing, property management or regulated real estate environments desired.
  • Not-for-profit accounting experience preferred; knowledge of GAAP is necessary.
