Senior Grants Manager

About the Role
Way to Win is seeking a Senior Grants Manager to lead our institutional grants portfolio from prospecting and proposal development through award management, reporting, renewal, and closeout. This role is ideal for a strong writer and exceptional operator who can translate organizational strategy into compelling funder narratives while building the systems and accountability needed to manage a complex grants portfolio.
Responsibilities
- Research and identify new foundation and institutional funding opportunities.
- Build and manage a strong pipeline of prospective funders.
- Write compelling proposals, LOIs, concept papers, reports, and renewal requests.
- Manage the full lifecycle of active grants, including deadlines, reporting, renewals, and closeout.
- Track grant commitments, deliverables, outcomes, and responsible staff.
- Maintain accurate grant and prospect information in Salesforce.
- Develop dashboards and systems that provide visibility into the fundraising pipeline and active grants.
- Partner with Advising, Program, Finance, Compliance, and leadership to ensure grant commitments are understood and fulfilled.
- Proactively identify at-risk deadlines or deliverables and escalate issues as needed.
- Support strong funder stewardship and identify opportunities for renewals and increased investment.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in grant writing, institutional fundraising, grants management, development, or related work.
- Demonstrated success writing foundation or institutional grant proposals.
- Exceptional writing, research, project-management, and organizational skills.
- Strong Salesforce or comparable CRM experience.
- Ability to manage multiple grants, deadlines, stakeholders, and deliverables simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail, judgment, and follow-through.
- Experience in progressive political, philanthropic, nonprofit, advocacy, civic engagement, or movement-building organizations is preferred.
- Experience with 501(c)(3), 501(c)(4), PAC, or other affiliated organizational structures is a plus.

The Senior Grants Manager ensures we can answer five questions at any time: What funding are we pursuing? What did we promise? Who owns it? Are we on track? What opportunity should we pursue next? This role is central to building a disciplined institutional fundraising and grants-management function that supports long-term revenue growth, strong funder relationships, and organizational accountability.
Pay
$110,000–$125,000
