Responsibilities
- Serve as a bridge between data scientists and economists to apply analytical methods effectively
- Design and implement quantitative analyses for global health challenges in low and middle income countries
- Utilize machine learning and AI approaches on real-world health datasets for data-driven insights
- Develop workflows for machine learning and predictive analytics using Python and R
- Integrate diverse data sources to generate insights on health and development challenges
- Contribute to research design and execution, employing experimental methodologies as appropriate
- Translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations for policymakers
Qualifications
- Ph.D. in Economics, Data Science, Public Policy, or related field focusing on quantitative analysis
- Minimum 3 years of quantitative research experience in policy-relevant domains
- Proficient in Python and R; familiarity with Stata is required
- Experience designing data analytics tools, including geospatial analyses
- Prior research in development or health economics is essential
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects with various stakeholders
