About the role
Senior Health Economists play a key role within project teams, ensuring work is delivered to an exceptionally high quality and in line with client expectations. They provide strategic advice, build and maintain client relationships, and contribute to business development.
Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, develop, and communicate health economic models demonstrating the value of new healthcare interventions.
- Build and maintain client relationships, directly with clients from project initiation to completion.
- Lead project teams, including delegating tasks and managing the time of others.
- Manage timelines across multiple projects and respond to changing deadlines.
- Build robust and sustainable client relationships by communicating directly with clients and responding to different communication styles.
- Deliver technical work and progress technical modeling skills.
- Contribute to business development by identifying and capitalizing on opportunities to provide additional services to clients within projects.
- Line manage Health Economist Interns.
Requirements
- A degree level or higher qualification in a relevant discipline (minimum 3.3 GPA).
- Formal degree-level or higher (i.e., postgraduate) training in statistics or health economic modelling is desirable, though not required.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to explain complex modelling techniques and results to non-experts.
- Advanced skills in Excel and VBA.
- The ability to use your initiative and work independently, in addition to working collaboratively within project teams.
- A high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Flexibility to respond to changing deadlines.
Desirable requirements
- Prior experience of having mentored others in any setting.
- Experience with other software (such as R, C++, STATA) alongside a willingness to learn new technical and programming skills.
