Senior General Accountant

Main Responsibilities

• Support the annual year-end audit process with external accountants
• Support the annual budget process
• Prepare accurate and timely month-end reporting package
• Prepare month-end operational reports
• Prepare and record asset, liability, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information
• Perform account reconciliations, analysis, and post journal entries as part of the monthly closing cycle
• Participate in inventory reconciliation responsibilities, reconcile book to physical
• Identify opportunities for process improvement initiatives that more fully leverage our current investments in technology and personnel
• Ensure all documents are maintained in accordance with company document retention and storage policies
• Adhere to finance policies, procedures and internal controls
• Projects as required and/or directed
• Help with process improvements
• Review of various revenue transactions and reporting
• Help with daily inventory reconciliations
• Work with various groups across the company
• Participate collaboratively in a group dynamic that promotes individual growth and development through continuous learning

Qualifications

• Minimum BS/BA Degree in Bus Admin, Accounting or Finance
• PREFERRED: Inventory or cost accounting knowledge
• Minimum 4 years experience in all aspects of general ledger accounting OR Minimum 3 years experience in public accounting industry – “Big 4” preferred.
• Knowledge of JD Edwards ERP, OneStream, PNC Pinnacle is preferred
• Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge
• Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles, and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
