Senior Full-Stack Engineer

About the role

We're looking for a Senior Software Engineer III to join our Enterprise & Retail Technology team. This is a hands-on technical role where you'll spend the majority of your time designing, building, and shipping high-quality software while contributing to architectural decisions and elevating the engineering team around you.

Responsibilities

• Own features and projects end-to-end — from technical design through deployment and production support
• Write clean, well-tested, performant code and lead by example in code reviews
• Ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with our engineering standards and architect
• Contribute meaningfully to design and architecture discussions, bringing well-reasoned technical recommendations
• Mentor and support peers, sharing knowledge and helping raise the overall capability of the team
• Work across teams and vendors to ensure smooth integration and delivery
• Leverage tools like GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted development to improve your own productivity and share learnings with the team
• Identify opportunities to improve delivery speed through automation — testing, documentation, code generation
• Explore ways to incorporate AI-driven features into product applications where it adds business value
• Partner closely with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to translate business requirements into well-architected technical solutions
• Collaborate effectively with offshore teams and vendors to keep delivery on track
• Help identify and resolve dependencies that slow the team down
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues across the stack
• Ensure applications perform reliably in production through proactive monitoring and observability practices
• Support releases, UAT, and continuous improvements post-launch

Technical Skills

• Strong full-stack development experience
• Frontend: React
• Backend: Node.js, TypeScript; Python & Java a plus
• Proven experience building microservices and REST/JSON APIs at scale
• Solid understanding of service design, workflow orchestration, and API documentation
• Strong observability practices — logging, tracing, alerting, dashboards
• Strong CI/CD pipeline experience — building, maintaining, and improving delivery pipelines
• Solid background in AWS cloud environments
• Solid SQL and relational database experience

Leadership & Approach

• Comfortable owning delivery end-to-end with minimal direction
• Experience mentoring peers and contributing to a strong engineering culture
• Strong communication skills across both technical and non-technical audiences

Nice to Have

• Hands-on experience with AI development tools (Copilot, ChatGPT, etc.) in day-to-day workflows
• Exposure to building data-driven or intelligent application features
• Background in retail, fintech, or omni-channel environment
