Senior Full Stack Developer

Location: Charlotte, North Carolina | Job type: Contract

About the role

Design and develop complex application features and services, lead API and microservices development initiatives, and build and optimize React-based front-end applications. You will also design and develop Java and Python services supporting workflow, reporting, automation, and AI-enabled capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Conduct code reviews and enforce engineering standards
• Mentor junior developers and provide technical guidance
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex application and production issues
• Design solutions for scalability, security, resiliency, and performance
• Contribute to CI/CD pipeline improvements and DevOps maturity
• Leverage GitHub Copilot and AI-assisted development tools to accelerate delivery and improve code quality
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Architects, Business Analysts, and infrastructure teams
• Participate in technical design discussions and architecture reviews

Requirements

• 7-10 years of software engineering experience
• 7+ years of Java development experience using Spring frameworks
• 3+ years of React development experience
• Strong JavaScript and TypeScript expertise
• Experience designing and integrating REST APIs
• Strong SQL development and performance tuning experience
• Experience with secure SDLC practices
• Experience designing microservices-based solutions
• Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices
• Experience with Agile software delivery
• Experience using GitHub Copilot Agent Mode

Qualifications

• Experience with GitHub Copilot or AI-assisted development tools
• Experience with microservices architecture
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP)
• Experience with Docker or Kubernetes
• Experience supporting financial services applications
• Experience with risk, compliance, workflow, or reporting platforms

Pay

$48.27 - 55.00 per hour
