Senior Formulation Technician

Responsibilities

  • Perform testing and qualification of resin products using specialized instruments to meet customer demand.
  • Complete complex production work orders according to established procedures.
  • Pack and test ion exchange media used in chromatography consumables.
  • Analyze data, derive conclusions, and prepare reports based on findings.
  • Record and report test results accurately.
  • Maintain proper documentation and production records.
  • Adhere to ISO 9001 guidelines and corporate quality policies.
  • Ensure compliance with GMP, QSRs, ISO, and IVD regulations.
  • Maintain high-quality standards throughout manufacturing and testing activities.
  • Follow EH&S safety requirements.
  • Participate in safety improvement initiatives.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized laboratory environment.
  • Work effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Support manufacturing operations to meet production schedules and targets.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biotechnology, or a related scientific field.
  • Hands-on experience working in a chemistry laboratory environment.
  • Experience performing chromatography testing; familiarity with chromatography software is a plus.
  • Experience working in a regulated manufacturing or laboratory environment.
  • Working knowledge of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices), GLP (Good Laboratory Practices), QSR, ISO, and IVD regulations.
  • Experience following ISO 9001 quality standards and participating in continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Ability to safely work in a laboratory setting with exposure to chemicals while following all safety protocols.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, draw conclusions, and prepare accurate reports.
  • Understanding of production schedules and the ability to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Experience reading, understanding, and following SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures), work instructions, and other technical documentation.
  • Familiarity with commonly used laboratory and production hand tools, such as wrenches, torque drivers, and tweezers.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations involving whole numbers, fractions, and decimals.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Excellent problem-solving, organizational, and time-management abilities.
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on documentation accuracy and quality compliance.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining productivity and quality standards.
  • Demonstrated ownership, accountability, and commitment to meeting production targets and deadlines.
  • Reliable attendance, punctuality, and a willingness to learn new skills and technologies.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies (PPI) is highly desired.

  • Ability to lift and/or move up to 40 pounds as required by the role.
