About the role

This posting represents Full-Time and Part-Time, Day Schedule positions at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center.

Responsibilities

  • Provides high level of customer service for patients, family members, volunteers, physicians and staff.
  • Adheres to Service Excellence Standards of Behavior guidelines at all times.
  • Complies with specified regulatory requirements and food safety and sanitation regulations for food service in a health care environment.
  • Fulfills tasks such as preparing salads, sandwiches, cold desserts, appetizers, and garnishes.
  • Produces, portions, and stocks preset food items according to established par levels and recipes.
  • Prepares foods using recipes, department standards, and knowledge of food handling techniques.

Requirements

  • National Food Handler Card - State, County, City Authority.
  • Experience in working in a team environment with common goals.
  • Experience in customer service, patient interactions, and food service.
  • Experience in Healthcare or Dietary kitchen using therapeutic diets.
  • Experience working on assembly line and delivering patient meal trays.

Qualifications

  • Upon hire: National Food Handler Card - State, County, City Authority.
  • Experience in working in a team environment with common goals.
  • Experience in customer service, patient interactions, and food service.
  • Experience in Healthcare or Dietary kitchen using therapeutic diets.
  • Experience working on assembly line and delivering patient meal trays.

Skills

Required skills include comprehensive knowledge of, and compliance with, specified regulatory requirements, food safety and sanitation regulations for food service in a health care environment. Must adhere to County/State Health department, hospital, and department standards, policies, and procedures at all times.

Pay

The successful candidate's placement on the wage range for this position will be determined based upon relevant job experience and other applicable factors. The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
