Senior Financial Modeling Analyst
About the role
Join a growing financial technology company specializing in credit card options for consumers with less-than-perfect credit. As a Senior Financial Modeling Analyst, you will support the Finance team by building financial models, analyzing risks, and communicating insights.
Responsibilities
- Build financial models using historical data and provide forecasts based on industry-related operating metrics.
- Develop and analyze key financial and non-financial risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
- Communicate data-driven insights through analysis, reporting, and data visualization.
- Prepare financial analysis, management reporting, and monitor economic trends and forecasting assumptions.
- Assist with research and financial analysis on potential acquisition opportunities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or economics required.
- 2-5 years of credit card industry/banking experience preferred.
- Proficiency with VBA within Microsoft Excel writing code and arrays required.
- Experience in financial planning and analysis required.
- Prior financial modeling experience required.
- Prior experience in evaluating acquisition opportunities is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, and advanced Excel).
- Basic or intermediate understanding of SQL and Snowflake is a preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal, with the ability to clearly communicate issues to all levels of management.
- Self-directed, highly motivated, and able to work independently.
