We are a national certified public accounting and consulting firm dedicated to real estate and community development. Founded in 1989, we have more than 900 employees across 25 offices nationwide. We provide a wide range of services including audit, tax, valuation, litigation support, and consulting in affordable housing, community development, historic preservation, and renewable energy.
Responsibilities
- Complete assignments, including financial forecasts and related assignments as directed by the Supervisor
- Evaluate and extract financial and non-financial data from various sources provided by clients
- Collaborate with clients to optimize investment return profiles through discussions on different ownership structures, subsidies, financing options, and tax credits
- Prepare summarized financial data reports and document assumptions used in financial modeling engagements
- Communicate potential problem areas during engagements and assist with accounting, audit, and tax engagements as needed
- Contribute to meetings with clients and project finance team members to discuss investment structuring and financing options
- Assist with other related assignments as deemed appropriate
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in finance, accounting, or economics, with 2+ years of relevant experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions like SUMIF, COUNTIF, VLOOKUP, PIVOT tables, IF formulas, and financial models
- Excellent organizational and follow-through skills, able to manage multiple tasks and prioritize deadlines
- Ability to work collaboratively and foster a productive team environment
- Experience with renewable energy, historic preservation, new markets tax credits, affordable housing, low income housing tax credits, opportunity zones, housing and urban development, real estate, developers, partnerships, forecasting, cost segregation, and partnership exits is a plus
Qualifications
- Passionate about project and corporate finance, particularly with tax credit-subsidized investments
- Ability to sit for the CFA or CPA exam or pass sections of these exams is a plus
- Available to work evenings and weekends based on position needs and travel domestically if required

- Strong computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and report writing tools

Pay
$77,000 to $94,000 depending on experience. More is possible if experience dictates.
Schedule
Available to work evenings and weekends based on position needs and travel domestically if required.
