Senior Financial Consultant

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive financial analysis, including budgeting, decision support, financial execution, data analysis, continuous process improvement and business process reengineering and budget operations across DoW appropriations.
• Prepare financial reports and presentations for management, highlighting key insight and recommendations.
• Analyze financial data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop financial models and support business initiatives.
• Aid in the development and implementation of financial policies, procedures, and controls.
• Participate in budget planning resource allocation processes.
• Maintain currency on Federal/DoW Financial Management trends, financial regulations, new/revised legislation policies, and best practices to enhance financial analysis capabilities.
• Provide guidance and support junior team members in financial analysis and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum 10+ years experience as DoW Financial Analyst or Budget Analyst.
• At least 5 years with Department of the Air Force FM experience.
• Strong knowledge of financial analysis techniques, budgeting principles, and cost estimation methods.
• Proficient in financial modeling, forecasting, and data analysis using tools such as Microsoft Excel, Power BI, etc.
• Experience with Department of the Air Force Financial Accounting and Budgetary systems (e.g., DEAMS, CRIS, BQ, FMSuite, AFM, etc.).
• Familiarity with federal government financial management regulations, including OMB Circulars and FASAB Standards.
• Active Secret Clearance (or higher Top Secret or TS/SCI) required.

Preferred Qualifications

• Masters Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration preferred.
• DAF Reimbursement experience.
• Experience with higher headquarters programs/platforms (e.g., Program Budget Accounting System [PBAS], Task Management Tool [TMT], Advana, etc.).
• Relevant certifications DoD FM Certification, CPA, CGFM, CDFM, etc. is a plus.
