About the role

The Sub Same Day team covers a portfolio of high-growth businesses with unique fulfillment and operational capabilities beyond core fulfillment, such as Grocery, Pharmacy, and HazMat. Our Finance teams partner closely with our operations teams to influence the strategic direction of the business, drive operational excellence, and make sound investment and expansion decisions, with the primary goal of continuously improving the customer experience while driving long-term profitability for our portfolio of businesses.

Responsibilities

  • Create financial models and plans, interpret large data sets, draw conclusions, and make recommendations that deliver results, drive improvements, and influence leaders throughout Amazon

  • Build effective business partnerships and use active listening skills to communicate data (both written and verbal) in a clear, concise, and unambiguous manner

  • Identify opportunities to reduce operational costs through data and financial analysis, inclusive of proactively resolving defects, benchmarking key performance indicators, and developing new metrics

  • Implement solutions to simplify, improve, automate, standardize, and scale processes

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)

  • 3+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA, or CPA

  • 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results

  • Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, business, economics, or a related analytical field (e.g., engineering, math, computer science)

  • 3+ years of finance or a related analytical field experience

Skills

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Prioritize the most impactful projects and programs to drive businesses forward

  • Ability to influence business owners, support thoughtful decision-making, sustain a higher level of controllership, and adapt to a rapidly-evolving environment
