About the role

Amazon’s North American Customer Fulfillment (NACF) Finance is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst to support operational and functional leaders. Amazon operates the most complex retail networks in the world, delivering billions of packages to hundreds of millions of homes and businesses annually. This role is part of a dedicated team committed to operational and financial excellence, focusing on inputs, thinking like an owner, and embracing a "Day One" mindset.

The NAC Finance team provides cost controllership, projects return on investment (ROI), and financial insights for end-to-end defect reduction processes and initiatives across the supply chain. The role involves translating operational KPIs into financial impact to ensure stakeholders have reliable information for decision-making. Success requires learning and curiosity, navigating complex ambiguity, and driving process improvements.

Responsibilities

  • Business Finance Support: Use financial knowledge and business acumen to build financial models and analyze business problems with limited guidance.
  • Controllership: Own financial reporting for a business area, supervise or mentor others in financial reporting, and identify and resolve complex data integrity issues. Collaborate with stakeholders to maintain high standards and develop scalable, auditable data analysis processes.
  • Communication: Utilize active listening skills to communicate data clearly and concisely (written and verbal), adjusting style for different audiences. Articulate complex finance issues, create effective partnerships with site leaders, and manage competing priorities during unexpected events. Draw conclusions, make recommendations, and drive improvements.
  • Independently align financial and operational analyses with business partners, challenging assumptions when necessary.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to resolve finance defects and improve, automate, standardize, or simplify finance or business tools and processes across teams.

A day in this role is dynamic and fast-paced, working alongside business partners and support teams in a high-energy environment to help make Amazon the Earth’s Best Employer.
