About the role
Sweet Oak is a global food company focused on enhancing healthier lifestyles through its range of plant-based sweeteners, flavor enhancers, and other nutritious products. The Senior Financial Analyst position requires someone who can analyze data, make informed decisions, and work closely with various departments.
Responsibilities
- Own the corporate functional budgeting process, including reforecasting cycles and long-range planning.
- Drive decision-making across the business by translating data into clear recommendations for functional leaders.
- Build strong relationships with functional owners across sales, operations, marketing, and supply chain.
- Own the monthly and quarterly reporting pack: P&L, KPI scorecards, variance commentary, and board-ready summaries.
- Build executive-level dashboards in Power BI that turn messy data into clear decisions.
- Pull and tie together data from Microsoft Dynamics 365, SAP, Power BI, and syndicated sources like SPINS and Circana/Unify+.
- Champion AI and automation across finance. Identify repetitive processes, automate them, and use AI every day to work faster and smarter.
- Support month-end close with accrual review, flux analysis, and tying out variances between forecast and actuals.
- Own the direct cash flow forecast. Track DSO, DPO, and inventory turns, and flag working capital risks before they hit the P&L.
- Manage opex against budget by cost center. Partner with People Ops on comp planning inputs.
- Prepare lender reporting packages, covenant compliance materials, and quarterly updates for the ownership group.
- Standardize forecast templates, build reusable models, and own the rhythm of the FP&A calendar.
- Support ad hoc analysis for leadership on M&A, capex, working capital, and new product ROI.
Requirements
- 3 to 5 years in FP&A, financial analysis, investment banking, consulting, or corporate finance.
- CPG or food and beverage experience is a plus but not required.
- Strong data analytics skills and natural curiosity. You are not satisfied with "the number is what it is."
- A bias for optimization and improvement. You look at a process and immediately see three things that could be better.
- A proactive work style. You flag issues before they become problems and bring solutions, not just observations.
- Ability to quickly learn multiple data systems and build executive-level dashboards that leadership actually uses.
- AI-forward mindset. You use AI tools daily and get excited about automating repetitive work. You have real examples of processes you have automated or accelerated with AI.
- Hands-on experience with Power BI and at least one ERP (Microsoft Dynamics 365 or SAP preferred).
- Advanced Excel, including complex modeling. SQL and Power Query are strong pluses.
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, Economics, Math, Engineering, or a related quantitative field.
- Clear written and verbal communication. You can explain a variance to the executive team in two sentences.
- Thrives in a fast-paced environment. Ambitious, driven, and ready to own your impact.
