Job Details

The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for advanced financial analysis, reporting, and accounting functions to support strategic and operational decision-making across North Central Health Care (NCHC).

Responsibilities

  • Perform detailed general ledger account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
  • Analyze financial results, including variance analysis, trend analysis, and key performance indicators (KPIs)
  • Develop and present financial reports and insights to leadership to support strategic decision-making
  • Aid in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and long-range financial planning processes
  • Support internal and external audits, including preparation of audit schedules and work papers
  • Support compliance with accounting standards, internal controls, and regulatory requirements
  • Identify financial risks, errors, or inefficiencies and recommend corrective actions
  • Collaborate with departments to interpret financial data and improve financial performance
  • Lead or support cross-functional financial projects and system/process improvements
  • Maintain and enhance financial models and reporting tools to improve accuracy and efficiency
  • Provide mentorship, training, and guidance to junior accounting/finance staff
  • Provide training, mentorship, and work direction to junior staff
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • Three or more years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or a closely related field
  • Experience with ERP, accounting systems and financial reporting tools

Preferred

  • CPA, CMA or progress toward certification preferred
  • Experience within healthcare, government or public sector

Qualifications

  • Required: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required
  • Three or more years of experience in accounting, financial analysis, or a closely related field
  • Experience with ERP, accounting systems and financial reporting tools

Benefits

  • Starting pay range: $75,712 - $82,430, based on education and experience
  • On-site in Wausau, WI
