Senior Financial Analyst

Responsibilities

• Aid in the monthly close process across assigned facilities/entities
• Prepare journal entries, account reconciliations, and supporting schedules
• Analyze balance sheet and income statement activity for accuracy and completeness
• Ensure transactions are properly recorded, coded, and reconciled
• Support bookkeeping and accounting operations as needed
• Maintain oversight of financial activity and follow up on outstanding items
• Provide analytical support to executive leadership and operations teams
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows and reduce manual processes
• Utilize technology, automation, and AI tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy within the finance function

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
• 2-5 years of accounting or financial analysis experience, preferably within Skilled Nursing Facilities, long-term care, or healthcare
• Strong understanding of accounting fundamentals and financial statements
• Experience with month-end close and reconciliations
• Strong Excel and organizational skills
• Detail-oriented with strong follow-through and problem-solving abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• CPA license or CPA candidate preferred, but not required
• Experience with Medicare/Medicaid reimbursement or cost reports
• Familiarity with healthcare accounting systems and ERP platforms
• Interest in process improvement, automation, and AI-driven finance tools
