This individual will play a pivotal role in driving value creation through financial modeling, M&A analysis, and post-acquisition integration. In addition to supporting the sponsor’s strategic initiatives, this role will be deeply involved in core FP&A activities such as annual budgeting, forecasting, variance analysis, management reporting, and performance tracking across the company’s operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain complex financial models to evaluate potential M&A opportunities, including scenario analysis and valuation modeling.
- Collaborate with Sciens’ deal and finance teams to manage due diligence processes, financial data requests, and ad-hoc analysis.
- Contribute to post-acquisition financial transition and integration efforts, ensuring alignment between IWS and Sciens’ financial objectives.
- Partner with the CFO and Director of Finance to deliver robust forecasting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
- Provide strategic insights and data-driven recommendations to support operational and financial decision-making.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reviews and develop management dashboards and performance metrics.
- Aid in post-acquisition FP&A integration, consolidating new entities into financial systems and reporting frameworks.
- Enhance existing financial models and tools to improve forecasting accuracy, cost tracking, and profitability analysis.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field (MBA, CPA, or CFA preferred).
- Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in FP&A, investment banking, transaction advisory, or private equity.
- Advanced Excel modeling skills; experience with financial systems and BI tools a plus.
- Deep understanding of financial statements, valuation techniques, and M&A processes.
- Strong analytical, communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to distill complex data for executive and investor audiences.
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Experience in manufacturing, engineering, construction, or other project-based industries is highly desirable, particularly with cost accounting, project forecasting, or operational finance exposure.
