About the role
The Senior Financial Analyst will be a key strategic partner responsible for driving financial performance and enhancing financial understanding across the organization.
Responsibilities
- Oversee the accounting and management of demonstration inventory, ensuring accurate and complete records are maintained to support operational and strategic decisions.
- Lead the administration, analysis, and continuous improvement of incentive plans for sales and marketing teams.
- Prepare regular reporting of incentive achievement that is understandable and actionable for the commercial team to drive sales.
- Manage key aspects of the monthly close process, including preparing journal entries, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with reporting standards.
- Support the calculation, review and accounting for rebates, royalties and other marketing and sales programs.
- Avoid the accurate and timely accounting of sales, COGS, rebates, royalties, incentives, compliance charges, and other marketing programs.
- Support the periodic and annual budgeting and financial planning process, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
- Provide expert-level support for internal and external reporting requirements by responding to Corporate Reporting and Finance requests.
- Deliver advanced financial modeling and forecasting to evaluate and present complex financial scenarios.
- Suggest, lead, and implement process enhancements and reporting improvements, including automation and the use of advanced visualization tools like Power BI.
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures, providing training and regular updates to stakeholders as needed.
- Provide detailed variance analysis, comparing actual performance against budgets and forecasts, and deliver actionable insights to improve financial outcomes.
- Enhance data-driven decision-making by managing and maintaining robust financial databases, automated reporting systems, and analytics tools.
- Ensure all reporting is timely and accurate.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial insights that support strategic business initiatives.
- Present financial reports and strategic insights to senior management, clarifying data implications and aligning recommendations with business objectives.
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders to foster financial understanding and drive alignment on organizational goals.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; an MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive financial analysis experience, preferably within a global industrial manufacturing environment.
- Experience in financial modeling, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
- In-depth knowledge of financial regulations, reporting standards, and cost accounting principles.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying financial insights to non-financial audiences.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment while managing competing priorities.
- Accelerators Experience in global industrial manufacturing, with a strong understanding of its financial drivers and operational complexities.
