Senior Financial Analyst

Responsibilities

• Aid in budget preparation and perform variance analysis.
• Prepare monthly reports, forecasts, and provide updates on financial performance.
• Act as a liaison and provide support during the closing process, including GL account reviews.
• Serve as the compliance coordinator, support internal control design and maintenance, and assist with audits.
• Prepare and review SEC reports, perform reconciliations, and ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Conduct ad-hoc analyses in response to management requests, providing actionable recommendations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Accounting, Financial Reporting, and business units.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or 3+ years of experience in financial statement preparation and analysis.
• Experience in banking or financial services preferred.
• Proficiency with budget application systems, IBM Cognos Planning Analytics, and basic knowledge of SQL and databases.
• Familiarity with financial institutions and SEC reporting requirements.
• 3+ years of experience in finance and/or accounting.
• Strong knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to collaborate effectively.
• Attention to detail, excellent follow-through, and a results-oriented mindset.
• Proficient in Microsoft 365, especially Excel, with the ability to create complex worksheets.
