Our Opportunity

Exponent is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Finance Group. Based in Phoenix, AZ, this role will manipulate large datasets to drive business insights and develop financial reports for various levels of management.

• Collaborate with management on strategic objectives by performing research and developing financial models on topics like compensation, sales credit, utilization, client/industry data, and ROI of strategic investments.
• Develop financial reports for Supervisors, Project Managers, Principals, Directors, and Officers to aid in managing and growing the Firm.
• Deliver business intelligence that provides forward-looking insight and decision support.
• Automate and improve current business analysis processes.
• Create and maintain reports and performance dashboards to analyze financial results, track KPIs, monitor variances, and identify trends.
• Understand and explain internal and external factors affecting performance and trends.
• Compile and analyze long-range plans, annual budgets, and periodic forecasts.
• Prepare data for the annual review process.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA preferred)
• Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience as a Financial Analyst
• Advanced skills in Excel, Power BI, and SQL
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 Copilot and AI-driven productivity tools
• Strong interpersonal skills for working across multiple functions, regions, and with varied levels of employees and multi-industry clients
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Analytical, assertive, and creative problem-solving abilities
• Experience in a professional services company is desirable
