Senior Financial Analyst
About the role
The Capital Markets Senior Financial Analyst (“CMFA”) supports transactions generated by Cushman & Wakefield’s Investment Sales brokerage services across multiple product types. This role involves leading complex financial analysis and modeling, conducting audits, and preparing detailed reports for brokers.
Responsibilities
- Lead the execution of more complex financial analysis/modeling requests
- Analyze and evaluate property rent rolls and operating statements to determine feasibility and valuation
- Create pro forma statements, discounted cash flow analyses, and Excel-based financial models considering market conditions
- Audit existing financial models for accuracy and validity of assumptions, identifying data gaps
- Review and summarize tenant leases and identify issues/concerns
- Assist in collecting and evaluating due diligence information for sales transactions
- Communicate analysis findings clearly and make timely revisions
- Perform quality control reviews to ensure thorough, complete work product
- Train and assist in training other analysts
- Support process improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Real Estate, or related field (preferred)
- 2 to 5 years of commercial real estate financial analysis and cash flow modeling experience (plus Capital Markets experience)
- Extensive experience with Argus Enterprise and other discounted cash flow tools
- Strong knowledge of real estate financial concepts and cash flow underwriting fundamentals
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Passion for client delivery, with strong emphasis on quality work, meeting deadlines, and exceeding expectations
- Critical thinking, strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and accuracy
- Effective time management and organizational skills
