Senior Financial Analyst
Position Summary
We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Senior Financial Analyst to support USA financial reporting, expense analysis, and executive reporting in partnership with FP&A managers and cross-functional business teams. This role will play a key part in delivering accurate financial insights and providing variance analysis to support operational and strategic decision-making.
The ideal candidate brings strong FP&A and analytical experience in a multi-site environment, with a proven ability to work independently, take initiative, and solve complex financial and analytical challenges.
Responsibilities
- Assist with financial reporting (month/quarter/year), including associated budget and forecast process.
- Partner with FP&A managers in expense planning and reporting helping to drive expense management and accountability.
- Prepare and deliver department head reporting packages, including narrative explanations of results.
- Perform detailed variance analysis versus budget, forecast, and prior periods; clearly articulate root causes and actionable insights.
- Develop, enhance, and maintain financial reports to support operational and strategic decision-making.
- Partner cross-functionally with Operations, Accounting, and other corporate teams to ensure data accuracy, alignment, and consistency across systems.
- Identify process improvement opportunities to streamline reporting, improve forecast accuracy, and enhance visibility into site performance.
Requirements
- Minimum Education: Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field
- Minimum Experience: Minimum of 4 years of progressive experience in FP&A, financial analysis, or corporate finance
- Preferred Experience: Strong experience supporting multi-site, retail, consumer, energy, or fuel-related businesses strongly preferred.
- Advanced proficiency in Excel; experience with financial planning systems (e.g., Oracle EPM/Hyperion, SAP, Anaplan, or similar) highly desirable.
- Demonstrated ability in P&L review, forecasting, and variance analysis.
- Proven ability to create and present executive-ready materials.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to translate complex financial concepts into clear, concise insights.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
