Senior Financial Analyst
About the role
The Senior Financial Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the financial planning, analysis, and reporting functions for Corporate FP&A - including monthly close, consolidated reporting, forecast and budget cycles, and the operating model that supports them. This individual serves as a key partner across the Corporate FP&A team and BU finance leaders, providing reliable cycle support, clear and accurate reporting, and the disciplined, repeatable process behind both recurring deliverables and the broader plan.
Responsibilities
Support the monthly close and QBR (Quarterly Business Review) packages - P&L and free-cash-flow roll-up, plus supporting schedules
Work with Corporate department leaders to review monthly actuals for their cost centers and capture forecast adjustments
Partner with Accounting on accruals, month-end variances, and adjustments that flow through
Maintain the management reporting suite: dashboards, KPI views, and recurring reporting packages
Prepare close materials for VP Finance and CFO review
Surface variances and exceptions as part of the close cycle, with cause-of-change commentary vs. budget, forecast, and prior year
Knowledge & Experience
Demonstrated ability hands-on Corporate FP&A cycle mechanics - close, forecast, budget - with a demonstrated ability to build and run the deliverables
Strong analytical and modeling acumen across consolidated financial reporting and planning
Obsessed with eliminating manual work - builds repeatable, automated, transferable tools and templates, increasingly AI-powered, using LLMs like Claude to automate analysis and accelerate modeling
Aggregation, manipulation, and reconciliation of large, disparate datasets across multiple entities, divisions, and departments
Comfortable in PBCS (or equivalent EPM tool) and Excel at an advanced level
Takes end-to-end ownership of recurring deliverables and stands behind their accuracy and timeliness
Strong communication skills - able to tell stories with data, surface variances, risks, and exceptions clearly, and drive action and recommend improvements within the finance team and to Corporate partners
Skills
Project management aptitude - ability to manage multiple stakeholders and facilitate work being completed on schedule
Presentation building for audiences ranging from individual contributors to senior leadership
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or related field; MBA is a plus
Minimum of 4-7 years of experience in Corporate FP&A roles focused on close, forecast, and budget mechanics at a company with multiple entities, divisions, and departments
Proventrack record of running Corporate cycles reliably and on schedule
Advanced Excel skills - Power Queries, dynamic tables, arrays, driver-based modeling
Hands-on operating mentality - owns the mechanics, not just the outputs
Experience with financial reporting tools and ERP systems (e.g., PBCS, Smartview, Oracle)
Physical Demands
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer. Frequent use of hands and fingers to operate office equipment, including computers, phones, and printers. Ability to occasionally lift files, office materials, or packages up to 15 pounds. Clear vision and hearing required for meetings, presentations, and reviewing financial documents. Ability to move about an office environment and attend meetings in various office locations.
