Senior Finance Manager (Bay)
Role Summary
The Finance Manager will utilize their skills as a finance professional to partner with the regional finance team and account Site Leadership as well as Clients Food Service Managers and lead our regional finance team in data collection and reporting. The role will implement strategic thinking, deep financial understanding, exceptional communication, and the ability to influence without direct authority. The successful candidate will ensure financial reporting consistency per contract terms, support budget and forecasting reporting, KPI metric reporting, dashboard data validation, and provide GAAP guidance for compliant reporting.
The Great Things You Can Expect to Do
- Regional Finance Support: Collaborate with regional teams to address and resolve financial reporting matters.
- Support the budget and forecast process through actual and forecast data collection.
- Aid in rolling out new processes and systems for enhanced governance, client reporting.
- Financial Governance and Compliance: Ensure all financial practices align with GAAP and other regulations.
- Provide expert opinions on complex reporting issues.
- Develop and implement a financial reporting framework for new and existing reports.
- Lead in supporting internal/external audit requirements and/or remediation.
- Contract Management: Monitor contract performance and compliance, through reporting and analysis.
- Maintain a centralized reporting repository.
- Provide guidance to the regional team on reporting interpretation and implementation.
- Process Improvement and Systems Implementation: Lead initiatives to improve financial processes and systems across the region.
- Support the implementation of new financial systems and tools through reporting.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of financial processes and recommend improvements.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement: Work closely with finance and operations teams to ensure alignment on contract terms and objectives through reporting.
- Collaborate with regional teams to understand local business needs and challenges, building/altering reports to support as the needs in the environment change.
- Build strong relationships with the regional finance team and other key stakeholders.
- Influence and engage others to achieve financial objectives and drive change.
- Provide regular updates and reports to regional management on contract financial performance and compliance.
Minimum Qualifications
- 10 years of experience in a senior finance role, with a strong background in global finance operations.
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP and other relevant accounting standards.
- Proven ability to influence and engage others without direct authority.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with financial systems implementation and process improvement initiatives.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- An interest in report development in Google tools.
