Senior Finance Counsel - In-House
About the role
The Senior Finance Attorney will provide legal support for a variety of financial and capital markets transactions, as well as SEC filings, compliance, commercial contracts, corporate governance, and more.
Responsibilities
- Provide legal advice and counsel on complex financial and capital markets transactions
- Draft and negotiate loan documents and other financial agreements
- Support SEC filings and regulatory compliance
- Review and negotiate commercial contracts
- Assist with corporate governance matters
- Work closely with the General Counsel to manage a broad range of legal issues
Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in a large law firm working on private credit or finance transactions
- Familiarity with deal flow and drafting and negotiating loan documents
- Experience with capital markets transactions or funds transactions is a plus
Qualifications
- J.D. degree from an accredited law school
- Admitted to practice law in at least one U.S. jurisdiction
- Excellent research, writing, and analytical skills
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Skills
- Strong legal knowledge of finance and securities laws
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite

- Compensation expected to be around $240-250k + bonus
