Senior Field Surveyor

Primary Responsibilities

• Oversight of professional supervision / management of Survey & Survey Mapping projects to achieve company goals (profitability, safety, quality, and operational excellence).
• Preparation of legal descriptions, easement descriptions, and estimates of survey needs/projects.
• Conduct boundary, ALTA, and topographic surveys (as part of survey projects as well as in support for engineering projects).
• Creation of plans and construction layouts.
• Scheduling of field crews while ensuring project deadlines are met.
• Development and maintenance of public & client relationships.

Basic Requirements

• High School Diploma (or equivalent).
• 6+ years of professional experience working in Field / Land Surveying.
• Valid Driver’s License required due to field work requirements.

Preferred Qualifications

• Completion of relevant Surveying training.
• Active Survey credentials in DE (e.g.: PS and/or FS exams for PLS or Surveying Intern certification).
• Management and/or Project Management experience.
• Expertise with modern Survey methods, best practices, and technologies.
• Proficiency with relevant technologies / tools (CADD, Total Stations, HDLS, GIS, AutoCAD Civil 3D, RTS, Robotic Total Stations, GPS, Leica Geosystems HW & SW, MicroStation, Bentley OpenRoads, Faro High-Definition Laser Scanning equipment).
• Proficiency on all standard Microsoft Office software applications, especially MS-Excel.
• Ability to work in a team environment with minimal supervision.
• Proven ability to work in a self-motivated manner while effectively multi-tasking and prioritizing multiple assignments.
• Excellent communication skills (verbal & written).
