Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Plans, directs, and coordinates the work of survey staff, engaged in surveying earth's surface and preparing reports and legal descriptions of land.
- Prepares easement legal descriptions and plats.
- Responds to questions and recommends appropriate administration of the Surveyors Map Act.
- Covers subdivision map checking, lot line adjustment, mergers, and easement checking.
- Coordinates field crews (sub-contracted).
- Works with various divisions (engineers and architects) within Willdan to provide necessary services, such as boundary and topo, aerial photogrammetry, preparation of legal descriptions and plat maps, coordination of appraisal and acquisition services.
- Provides technical guidance and support to surveying staff.
- Monitors project budgets and timelines to ensure efficiency and profitability.
- Ensures the quality and accuracy of survey data and deliverables.
- Oversees office survey staff.
- Maintains employee development.
Job Requirements / Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university, or equivalent work experience.
- Registration as a Licensed Land Surveyor in California.
- 10 years of experience encompassing all aspects of land surveying (field, office, management).
