Responsibilities
- Perform and verify complex boundary analyses using relevant legal principles, statutes, and case law.
- Prepare high-accuracy survey deliverables, including: ALTA/NSPS surveys, Records of Survey, Boundary and topographic surveys, Short and long plats, subdivision maps, lot line adjustments, Easement exhibits, and legal descriptions.
- Process and adjust GPS and conventional survey data; perform least-squares adjustments as needed.
- Conduct advanced COGO calculations, coordinate geometry evaluation, and geodetic analyses.
- Apply coordinate transformations, rotations, and translations across datasets.
- Analyze field data, sketches, and digital records for completeness and accuracy.
- Prepare drawings, mapping files, and supporting survey documents in collaboration with drafting staff.
- Review deliverables prepared by Survey Technicians for accuracy and completeness.
- Maintain high standards for data integrity, record documentation, and file management.
- Provide technical input to improve internal standards, procedures, and workflows.
- Serve as an internal technical resource for boundary resolution, geodetic analysis, and mapping standards.
- Provide guidance and informal mentorship to Survey Technicians and early-career survey staff.
- Participate in internal training, knowledge-sharing, and process improvement initiatives.
- Support the Senior Land Survey Manager and PLS staff by contributing to QA/QC practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Geomatics Engineering, Civil Engineering, or equivalent years of experience in Land Surveying.
- 8-10+ years’ relevant survey experience.
- Professional Land Surveyor License (LS), preferred.
- Project Management experience, preferred.
- General knowledge of computers, Microsoft office, Adobe, Internet, Bluebeam, etc.
- Proficient experience with AutoCAD Civil 3D, required.
- Effective and professional communication skills with internal and external stakeholders.

- Deep technical expertise in boundary analysis, computations, and mapping tasks.
- Ability to resolve complex or high-risk surveying assignments.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
- Experience with COGO calculations, coordinate transformations, and geodetic analyses.
- Knowledgeable in legal principles, statutes, and case law related to land surveying.
- Ability to communicate effectively with clients and project teams.
