Senior Field Service Technician - Capper

Responsibilities

  • Perform all duties in accordance with safety policies and procedures while maintaining a safety-focused work mentality.
  • Set up and adjust machines, both in the field and at our ECS facility, to equipment specifications.
  • Troubleshoot and repair machinery mechanically (hydraulic/pneumatic) and electronically.
  • Perform checks and setup of capping components for proper operation.
  • Conduct machine audits, repairs, and preventative scheduled maintenance on Cappers.
  • Install, commission, and set up Cappers in customer facilities.
  • Diagnose problems, dismantle machines, replace defective parts, and reassemble machines.
  • Identify and articulate root cause problem statements while troubleshooting.
  • Changeover and setup change parts, running clearance, and timing.
  • Complete service reports in a timely manner.
  • Provide training to customers and coworkers.
  • Follow good assembly practices while performing job duties.
  • Travel up to 80%, sometimes nights and weekends, depending on team member residence location.
  • Schedule may fluctuate due to business need; changes will be provided at least 2 weeks in advance.
  • Engage in cross-training and provide training to customers and coworkers when applicable.
  • When not traveling, contribute to duties onsite at any Bevcorp facility at the manager’s discretion.
  • Support internal operations through equipment testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Complete safety initiatives as required (e.g., BBSOs, Near Misses).

Requirements

  • 4-6 years of capping service experience (preferred).
  • Minimum two-year technical school training in a related field (preferred).
  • Basic computer skills, including use of email, Word, Excel, iPad, and smartphone.
  • Experience serving customers and working as a team to achieve success.
  • Manufacturing experience in the food and beverage industry (preferred).
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License.
  • High level of dedication to safety and quality.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work with mathematical concepts.
  • Passion for delivering results to meet customers’ needs.
  • Ability to adhere to all JBT values.
  • Ability to travel outside of the U.S.
  • Ability to lift, carry, move, etc., up to 50 pounds.

Pay

The estimated pay range for this role is $35.00 - $45.00 an hour. Starting salary will vary by location, qualifications, and prior experience.
