About the Role

The Senior Field Service Technician will initiate and execute field service activities at customer sites in a safe and efficient manner. This role includes proactive system troubleshooting, working with mechanical, electrical, chemical feed and storage equipment, conducting routine contractual sampling and survey work, preventative/breakdown maintenance, maintaining parts inventory, completing cost accounting time entry and field data entry, and anticipating and correcting safety issues (both Company and Customer owned equipment). The position involves direct interfacing with customers and may require work in multiple systems/locations/customers within a primary service area and regional territory. The ideal candidate will be located in the greater Richmond, VA area.

Requirements

  • 20%-50% travel depending on division & location (overnight stays, away from home)

  • Ability to obtain all required customer clearances (TWIC, DISA, etc.)
  • Clean driving record
  • 2 to 5 years of mechanical/technical work experience including industrial or commercial process water experience
  • Water/Wastewater/Chemical handling, processing, analytical experience a plus
  • Able to pass background check & pre-employment drug screen

Qualifications

  • HS diploma or equivalent
  • Preferred: Industry-specific license(s) for water or wastewater
  • Trades/Training Certificates - HVAC/Plumbing/Electrical

Skills

  • Electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC
  • Safe use of power and hand tools and test instruments
  • Ability to work without direct supervision
  • Technically sound with experience in Microsoft Office including smart devices
  • Customer service/field service experience
  • Critical thinking and troubleshooting ability
  • Synthesizes technical information and communicates it clearly
  • Derives insight from customer experience to produce outcomes and solve problems in novel and unexpected ways

Pay

The estimated salary range for this position is $30 to $33/hourly. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience, and work location.
