About the Role
Orlando Health is seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Facilities to oversee the management, operations, maintenance, regulatory compliance, and financial performance of healthcare facilities. This leadership role ensures a safe, efficient, and compliant environment while directing engineering, maintenance, and facilities teams across large healthcare campuses.
Responsibilities
- Lead all engineering, maintenance, and plant operations functions for large healthcare facilities.
- Manage operational budgets, utility forecasting, and financial performance.
- Ensure compliance with AHCA, CMS, The Joint Commission (TJC), NFPA, and other regulatory requirements.
- Oversee facility safety, Environment of Care (EOC) programs, and emergency management initiatives.
- Direct facility maintenance, capital replacement planning, vendor management, and construction project coordination.
- Develop departmental policies, procedures, and performance standards.
- Manage and mentor leadership teams, including hiring, coaching, staff development, and performance management.
- Collaborate with executive leadership, corporate engineering, and facilities development teams to support strategic goals.
Qualifications
- Associate degree required, or High School Diploma/GED with additional qualifying management experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of facilities experience, including 5 years of healthcare facility engineering management experience.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulatory and compliance standards, including NFPA, TJC, CMS, and AHCA.
- Experience with budgeting, project management, staff development, and operational leadership.
- CHFM (Certified Healthcare Facility Manager) or CPMM (Certified Professional Maintenance Manager) certification preferred.
