Senior Facilities Engineer
Job Summary

We are seeking a Senior Facilities Engineer to lead the design, operation, and continuous optimization of critical facility systems in our state-of-the-art semiconductor research and development environment.
About the role
Your role will involve owning the performance, reliability, and compliance of critical facility systems, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance. You will also serve as the technical authority for complex, multi-discipline facility projects, driving them from concept through commissioning while mentoring junior engineers and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, operation, and continuous optimization of mechanical, electrical, HVAC, cleanroom, and utility infrastructure
- Ensure all systems meet the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance
- Drive complex, multi-discipline facility projects from concept through commissioning
- Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with cross-functional teams including Environment, Health and Safety (EHS), Quality Assurance (QA), and process engineering
- Enable scientific innovation and operational excellence in a high-stakes R&D environment
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in semiconductor facilities or equivalent cleanroom environments
- Proven ability to lead complex facility projects and manage critical utilities infrastructure
- Familiarity with safety, environmental, and quality regulations applicable to semiconductor or advanced manufacturing environments
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) certification or equivalent licensure
- 7+ years of relevant experience, including team lead or leadership responsibilities
- Experience with permit-to-work systems, Lockout/Tagout (LOTO), hot work, and confined space entry procedures
- Experience with contractor management, vendor oversight, and financial accountability including budgeting and lifecycle planning
- Certifications in safety management (e.g., OSHA or equivalent)
- Track record of managing multi-discipline projects (mechanical, electrical, plumbing, controls) in cleanroom settings
- Proficiency with Computer-Aided Design (CAD) or Building Information Modeling (BIM) tools, asset management systems, and commissioning and qualification processes
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at all organizational levels
Pay and Benefits
