About the role
Our team operates within the wider ‘Services Commercial’ group, dedicated to growing PlayStation’s subscription services. This group strives to maximize new subscriber acquisition and retention, providing a compelling reason for people to return to the service year after year. Our product, PlayStation Plus, is critically important to PlayStation’s vision and strategy, subscribed to by the majority of PlayStation users and seeing dynamic growth since re-launching with a multi-tiered proposition in 2022.
You will join the ‘Experience’ team, whose mission is to craft best-in-class customer experiences that foster an informed, engaged, and excited group of subscribers. This includes determining what customers see on PlayStation consoles and the PlayStation App—delivering the latest, greatest, and most relevant messages tailored to each customer. The team is responsible for both subscriber and non-subscriber experiences, maximizing subscription purchases, tier upgrades, and engagement with service benefits through continuous test-and-learn activities and innovative merchandising.
As the Senior Experience Planning & Merchandising Associate Manager, your primary responsibility will be to bring organization, structure, and clarity to our planning process. You will build bridges between cross-functional teams, executing both long-term and monthly merchandising plans while prioritizing the right activities. The role involves managing complex customer targeting, digital merchandising, and campaign execution across console and app storefronts, ensuring strong visibility and communication among stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute an Experience plan:
- Support the creation and maintenance of a clear, visually structured Merchandising, Editorial, and Experimentation plan integrating cross-functional priorities.
- Collaborate with Content, Engagement, Marketing, and other teams to ensure merchandising priorities are properly planned.
- Deliver on existing playbooks and processes to streamline planning and execution of support and merchandising activities.
- Experience Plan Delivery:
- Participate in weekly stand-ups to track progress on key initiatives, team actions, and coordinate updates.
- Project manage merchandising activity through execution, including campaign briefs, review cycles, QA, and post-mortems.
- Integrate learnings from experimentation into day-to-day merchandising efforts.
- Maintain evergreen merchandising experiences, such as content collections, ensuring fresh creative and optimized tool usage.
- Performance, accountability, and continuous improvement:
- Collaborate on Experience campaign performance reports for team and executive stakeholders.
- Support post-mortem evaluations to identify operational friction points and recommend process improvements.
- Foster cross-functional collaboration to achieve visibility and buy-in for the Experience plan.
- Stay abreast of trends in digital commerce, merchandising, and editorial to bring innovative ideas to the business.
- Coordinate merchandising efforts across touchpoints, including:
- Game releases into PlayStation Plus.
- Live Services moments, engagement events, promotions, and seasonal moments.
- Evergreen experiences like content collections and benefit education pages.
Requirements
- 3+ years in a similar role with in-depth organizational and planning responsibilities, including prioritizing activities to drive growth.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to juggle competing programs and priorities.
- Experience with project management tools, ideally Wrike or similar.
- Proven record of delivering go-to-market plans for campaigns.
- Passion for delivering best-in-class customer experiences and creating impactful moments for communities.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively in a global environment.
- Experience working cross-functionally across business, creative, and operational teams.
- Experience developing and delivering complex programs in a scaled business.
- A systematic, disciplined, and logical approach to problem-solving.
- Comfort using self-serve analytics tools (e.g., Tableau, DOMO).

Pay
The estimated base pay range for this role is $101,700—$152,500 USD.
Base pay may vary based on job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, and location, in line with SIE’s hybrid working policy.
